When: Weekly on Tuesdays 10:30 am-1:00 pm
Venue: Donaghadee Community Centre

The Art Group meets in Donaghadee Community Centre weekly on Tuesday mornings from 10.30 am – 1 pm. Space in the hall allows for up to 10 people with the fee for the room being divided amongst the members.

Everyone brings their own materials and works at their own pace, in their own style. Watercolour is the most popular medium, but charcoal, pastels, and acrylic paints have also been used.

This is a self-guided group, with members of mixed experience, who are keen to develop and share their experience in Art. It is not a structured class that has teacher and technique demonstrations. It is an informal group of enthusiasts sharing a common interest and learning from each other.

We organise occasional group visits to outdoor sculpture exhibitions and sometimes sketch and paint ‘en plein air’ when the weather permits. The main aim of the group is to encourage and inspire each other in a shared hobby, within an informal setting, and having friendship and fun along the way.
